Signature Leadership Programs.
The Ascent Leadership Institute is ClimbWizely’s flagship program — a multi-month cohort experience that develops senior and emerging leaders together, through facilitated learning, peer cohorts, and real work applied to real challenges. It sits at the center of our Organizational work, built for companies developing a whole bench at once rather than one leader at a time.
The one-day workshop wears off. A cohort compounds.
The Ascent Leadership Institute is our flagship signature program — a multi-month cohort experience that develops senior and emerging leaders together through facilitated learning, peer cohorts, and real work applied to real challenges. It exists to solve a problem most organizations recognize in their own budgets: they already spend on leadership development — a speaker here, an offsite there, a course someone found online — and see little that lasts. The trouble is not effort; it is half-life. A single session lands, inspires, and fades inside a month because nothing around it holds the new behavior in place. There is no peer group watching, no live problem to apply it to, no shared language for the rest of the team to reinforce.
The business cost of that leakage is real. Development spend that does not change how people lead is spend that shows up on the P&L without showing up in performance — and the roles it was meant to strengthen stay exposed. Meanwhile the leaders an organization most needs to keep are precisely the ones the market is trying to poach; when they see no serious investment in their growth, the strongest of them leave, taking institutional knowledge and momentum with them. Under-developed leadership is a drag on execution, on retention, and on the value of the enterprise itself.
The Institute is built the opposite way, and it is built to pay back. It runs long enough for habits to form, brings leaders together so they hold each other to a new standard, and anchors every module to work that is already on their desks — so what they learn on a Tuesday shows up in results by Friday. The outcome is not a burst of motivation that evaporates. It is a leadership bench that thinks and decides differently, a common standard that speeds execution across levels, and a signal to your best people that their growth is worth investing in — so they stay and climb rather than leave.
One cohort. Every level of leadership.
Most leadership training happens in silos — executives in one room, rising managers in another. The Ascent Leadership Institute puts them in the same cohort on purpose, so shared language and trust build across levels rather than within them.
We design and run the Institute end to end, shaped around your organization rather than an off-the-shelf curriculum. It opens with an honest assessment of each leader — strengths, blind spots, and goals — so the program has a baseline it can be measured against. From there, facilitated modules build core leadership capability one layer at a time, led by an experienced operator who has sat in the chair, with room to practice, get feedback, and try again before the next.
What makes it compound is the design around the learning. Senior leaders sharpen their thinking by mentoring; emerging leaders accelerate by learning from people a few steps ahead. Every leader carries a live challenge from their own work through the program, so the material is tested against reality rather than a case study, and progress is visible in the business. Senior sponsors stay close to the cohort throughout, signaling that this is core work rather than an extracurricular. The building blocks of the experience are:
Multi-month cohort
A sustained program, not a one-day workshop — because real leadership grows over months of practice, not a single afternoon.
Facilitated learning
Sessions led by an experienced operator who has sat in the chair, built around your context, not a generic off-the-shelf curriculum.
Peer cohorts
Leaders learn alongside their peers, building the cross-functional relationships and trust that outlast the program itself.
Real-world application
Every leader carries a live challenge from their own work through the program and leaves with real, visible progress on it.
Assessment-anchored
The work starts from an honest baseline — strengths, gaps, and goals — so growth is measured against where each leader actually began.
Executive sponsorship
Senior sponsors stay close to the cohort, signaling that this is core work, not an extracurricular, and keeping the mandate real.
How the Ascent Institute unfolds.
Four movements over several months — each building on the last, so the cohort ends stronger than any single session could make it.
Assess
Every leader begins with a clear, honest read on their strengths, blind spots, and goals — the baseline the whole program is measured against.
Learn
Facilitated modules build core leadership capability one at a time, with room to practice, get feedback, and try again before the next.
Apply
Leaders take each lesson straight into a live challenge from their own work, so the learning is tested against reality, not a case study.
Advance
The cohort graduates ready to lead bigger, with habits built to last and a peer network that keeps holding the standard.
The leaders you can’t afford to lose.
A signature program earns its place when the people in the room are the ones your future depends on.
High-potential managers
Emerging leaders you’re counting on to step up — ready to accelerate, and worth investing in before someone else does.
Senior leadership teams
Executives who need a shared standard and a common language, not another course they’ve heard before.
Whole leadership pipelines
Organizations building bench strength across levels at once, so development compounds instead of happening one person at a time.
A workshop teaches a skill. A cohort builds a standard — and a standard is what keeps developing your people after everyone goes home.
Habits that hold
Months of practice and peer accountability turn new behavior into how your leaders actually operate.
Faster alignment
A shared standard across levels cuts the friction and rework that slow execution between the boardroom and the front line.
Bench that carries
Successors emerge ready, so the standard keeps propagating long after the cohort graduates.
A leadership bench that compounds.
The return on a signature program is not a certificate. It is leaders who perform — and stay.
A stronger bench
Senior and emerging leaders who think, decide, and lead with a shared standard — and successors visibly readier for what’s next.
A common language
One vocabulary for leadership across levels, so alignment stops getting lost in translation between the boardroom and the front line.
Momentum that holds
Habits, relationships, and a peer network that keep developing your people — and holding them accountable — long after the program ends.
Before you launch a cohort.
What sponsors most want to understand before committing their leaders’ time.
How long does the Institute run?
It is built as a multi-month experience — long enough for habits to form and be tested in real work. We shape the exact length and cadence around your cohort’s roles and calendar.
How big is a cohort?
Small enough that every leader is known and challenged, large enough that the peer network has real range. We size it deliberately with you rather than filling seats.
Can it be delivered off the shelf?
No — and that’s the point. If your needs are narrower or your timeline shorter, a customized program or a series of workshops may be the better fit.
How do you measure whether it worked?
Against the baseline each leader started from — the live challenges they carried, the behaviors that shifted, and readiness for their next role. Development you can point to, not a satisfaction survey.
Other ways we develop leaders.
A signature cohort is one route up. A few others, depending on where you’re starting.
Customized Programs →
A development plan built from the ground up around your people, goals, and challenges.
Succession Planning →
Turn a stronger bench into a ready pipeline for the roles that matter most.
Workshops & Seminars →
Focused, skills-building sessions when a full cohort is more than you need right now.
Put your best leaders in a room long enough and something shifts — they stop competing for the mountain and start climbing it together.
Trust across silos
Leaders who solve real problems together build the cross-functional relationships that make decisions faster once they leave the room.
Retention signal
Investing in your strongest people together tells them their growth matters here — so they climb rather than leave.
Shared standard
A common language for how good leadership looks keeps holding the whole cohort accountable after the program ends.
What running a cohort asks of you.
A signature program is a real commitment on both sides. Here is what it takes — and what we handle — so you can plan for it honestly.
Protected time
Leaders need their calendars defended for the cohort, not squeezed in around everything else. We help you make the case — and design the cadence so the load is real but manageable.
Visible sponsorship
The program lands when senior leaders show up for it. We work with your sponsors to keep the mandate loud, so the cohort reads this as core work rather than a nice-to-have.
Honesty from the start
The work only compounds if people are willing to be assessed candidly and hear it. We set that tone early, and we hold the confidentiality that makes candor safe.
A cohort is one of three climbs we guide.
The Ascent Institute is our Organizational work — a whole cohort rising together. When the climb is one person’s, we coach their career directly, or work with the person underneath the role.
